Purchasing a PCM

As established in previous pages, our kit only officially support drive-by-cable configurations. For that, you need to purchase a drive-by-cable PCM which is distinguished by the RED/BLUE connectors and the service number ending in 411.

You have some options:

• Buy a RED/BLUE PCM with programming from the company that built your wiring harness

• Buy a PCM from ebay or a junkyard and send it off to be programmed by someone like lt1swap.com , or the company that built your harness

• Buy a PCM and buy HPTuners or EFI Live and configure the PCM yourself

Required Programming

For compatibility with your Discovery 2, you must configure the PCM to these parameters. Forward these requirements to whoever is programming your PCM.

• If the PCM came from a different engine, ask for a stock tune that matches your engine and load that config as a baseline before applying everything else.

• Delete VATS (anti theft)

• Vehicle Speed Sensor settings

  • Set VSS P/Rev - Trans to 40

  • Set Trans Revolutions per Mile to 694.98

  • Set Final Drive Ratio to 4.29:1

  • Set VSS Pulses per Mile to 8,000

• Idle Control

  • Set the minimum idle at all times to 750 RPM (any settings higher than 750 can be left as-is)

• Tach Output

  • Under Engine/General, Set:

    • Tach Output Resolution - High = 6

    • Tach Output Resolution - Low = 6
