180 degree elbow
4" to 3.5" 90 degree reducer elbow
4" to 4" 90 degree elbow
4" Straight Tube
Aluminum couplers
4" Hose Clamps
3.5" Hose Clamp
Reinstall your air box and filter. Install Golden Rovers custom air box lid.
Install the 180 degree tube with the short leg on the throttle body. Check for fan clearance.
If the fan does not clear, identify and mark the 4 contact points with the throttle body, and cut notches to allow the tube to seat further into the throttle body.
Check fan clearance again
Use grease to help install the aluminum couplers. Do not tighten any clamps until the end.
If one of your aluminum couplers is longer that the others, install the long one here so we can clear the corner behind the AC compressor. If both couplers are the same, then use any.
We recommend squishing the coupler into an oval shape for better hood clearance. You can use a rubber mallet or carefully stomp it with your foot (careful, it is soft aluminum!)
Next is the 4" to 3.5" reducer elbow. Notice the orientation of the clamps. This is the orientation we recommend for best hood clearance. You do not want the nut sticking up too high and denting your hood.
Now fit the MAF sensor as shown into the 3.5" side of the elbow. Pay attention to the flow arrow. Don't forget to use the 3.5" clamp here. It's a tight fit, use a screwdriver to help shoehorn it in.
On the other side of the MAF goes the 4" to 4" 90 degree elbow. This will feel like a loose fit but the clamp will tighten down.
Add the second metal coupler, the straight tube, and attach to the Golden Rovers air box.
One your are happy with it, tighten the clamps. Check that the metal couplers and MAF sensor stay centered and seated as you are tightening. Check fan clearance again as you are tightening the clamp onto the throttle body to ensure the tube is seated fully.
