Start by installing the fans into the shroud. They drop in like this. Pay attention to identify the top and bottom. The 3 small holes over the bypass flaps are on top.
Mount the fans with the provided nuts and bolts.
To fit the fans in your desired orientation, you may need to chop off this cable tab. It isn't needed.
You can also install the bypass flaps now. They go on the outside of the shroud.
For camble management, you can drill holes on the sides of the shroud to mount the connectors.
Install the shroud and fans onto the radiator.
Be sure to slot in the bottom of the shroud on the two plastic clips at the bottom of the radiator. These are the clips that used to hold the plastic shroud.
For the top of the shroud, install two of these clips to secure the shroud.
For extra security, you can also loop a zip tie through the slots.
You may also use this style of clip if necessary.
For wiring, you could just follow the instructions on the box. But we will walk you through it as well.
Connect your fans to the harnesses that came in the box with them.
The length of wires can be excessive. Do not hesitate to remove the loom and shorten the wires to your desired length.
Here we shortened the red wire to reach the battery (+) terminal.
Crimp the two inline fuses to the two red wires.
Then crimp two ring terminals at the end of each inline fuse.
Then connect the ring terminals to the battery (+) terminal.
Shorten the black wires as desired. Crimp ring terminals on those too, and connect them to ground (either the battery ground or a body ground)
Now install the temperature sensor.
If you have an inline thermostat, perfect! They usually have a sensor port on the top or bottom (the top port is a better fit).
If not, you may need a Temperature Sensor Adapter and a 3/8 NPT to 1/8 NPT adapter.
Connect the sensor harness.
This sensor is not just a sensor. It is a built-in PWM fan controller! It will control the speed of the fans from 0 to 100% based on the temperature.
These are the sensore harness wires:
Red: connect to an ignition-switched 12v supply.
Black: connect to ground
White: Fan speed. Connect to the 2 white wires on the fan harnesses
Blue: optional full speed override. Connect it to a switch to +12v to for the fans at full speed when desired.
Connect the 3 wire wires together using a pink butt crimp. Again, do not hesitate to cut the wires down to length.
Connect the red wire to an Ignition-switched power source. (meaning, only has power when the car is ON)
Find a suitable fuse and use the provided fuse tap.
Connect the back wire to ground using the provided ring terminal and you are done!
