Self Tapping Screws
Ideally, the cubby should be installed with the tailgate table removed. But, you can still install it if you loosen the bolts below the opening.
Then you can sneak the cubby's flange between the table and door.
Insert the bottom piece first, go in sideways like this.
Set the flange on the bottom edge of the opening. Slide the flange between the door and the tailgate table.
Make sure to center the piece before pressing the flange in place.
Now insert the top piece straight on. You might have to push the sides inward to fit through the opening.
Push this flange between the door and table as well.
Line up the holes.
Screw the 4 self tapping screws through the 4 holes to connect the top and bottom pieces.
That's it!
Remember to re-tighten the bolts you loosened earlier.
